The Inspiration Behind The Logo
GLORY JEAN WILSON
1952-2024

Glory was the name of my wife, life partner, and best friend. We were happily married for 36 years and shared a lot of life together. I always loved her compassion and strength.
Some years ago, she suffered a debilitating event. We were to find out later that she was born with a small hole in her heart that went undetected until a blood clot passed though, causing a major stroke. I was told she would be paralyzed on her left side, but after just three months of rehabilitation and her persistence to push forward, she was climbing stairs again. Two years later she was diagnosed with cancer. The doctor’s prognosis was grim: she most likely didn’t have long and advised me to admit her to Hospice. I declined, knowing my wife’s strong faith and will to live. From complications with medications to several medical-related issues, she continued to fight.
I was her caregiver for 15 years. She was the inspiration behind our business name and logo, “Defending Glory”; I was her protector—she was my strength—and she will be deeply missed.
